Commercial Aircraft’s Mission Analysis Computational Model

This program performs analysis of a commercial aircraft mission, using physical principles for the simulation of the aircraft’s flight, while in parallel examines the operation of the engines and their performance in real time.

The purpose of the program is to provide all the required information related to the aircraft flight path, its velocity, the fuel consumption, the pollutant emissions and the operating point of the engines for every single step of operation for a specific aircraft envelope given by the user. The influence of the engines health condition on mission performance can also be examined using appropriate health condition parameters.

Final the program can perform optimization of the basic parameters of the mission taking into account economical (less fuel) and environmental (less pollutant emissions) criteria. All program operations are performed from the Main Screen, presented in the following (click to enlarge).
