The Hammer test kit is used for defining eigen frequencies of machine parts either solely or assembled upon a machine. This kit, apart from the excitation hammer, includes a series of varying heads and an additional mass for the hammer. It also includes two cables of connection for the portable FFT analyzer. The hammer consists of two slots in its upper part. The hammer head, which can change from test to test, is placed in the slot where there is contact with the structure during impact. The stiffness of the hammer’s head sets the characteristics of the impact. At the backside of the hammer, there is the slot for adding additional mass.
